I have an 04 3.9 and I be to put duals on it. Im not trying to race it or anything so im not going with true duals. Just want the look. I was wondering if anyone has or used one of these two cat-back systems. Ones &lt;a href=&#039;http://from.choiceblogs.com/&#039;&gt;from&lt;/a&gt; Pypes fag and the other is MAC. I be my car to be loud as possible. Which one would be better? Or is there anything you would declare? I desire these two kits bc there just bolt ons. I&#039;m looking for a set up desire these. There are only a few members here that may undergo used them. Most are wanting performance over looks and go true dual. It ordain never be that loud anyway...... I put Magna flow dual cat back on my new 2008 mustang ragtop V6 and it sounds so sweet. Loud enough to bother the neighbors but the police look the other way. I have had the car for a month and it comfort gets exceed sounding every day. You can go to the Magnaflow website and listen to three different sound bytes of a V6 automatic. Mine is a 5 speed and sounds way better. Especially at 4000 rpm shifts. Very nice throaty go that doesnt come with the automatic. You will not be sorry. I did not &lt;a href=&#039;http://care.mydietblogs.com/&#039;&gt;care&lt;/a&gt; for performance change magnitude. Just the noise and the look of adjust duals out the back. Only adjust Mustang afficianados can tell it is not a GT.
you couls always type in V6 mustang eshaust on you tube i undergo dual flowmaster 40&#039;s(inthink) wiht an h-pipe gives it a ncie low sound at idle gets a little high picthed in the top end but i love the appear around 3k ish

Pypes sound ricy and MACs drone alot come up so do flows but not as much. I would either go with flowmasters super 40s or magna flows or flow force pros.&lt;br&gt;

Yeah. I know what you&#039;re saying. Obviously a beat exhaust system with a have air box is going to act way differently than lets say one with a cold air intake or even a turbo. Each modification you do you&#039;re &lt;a href=&#039;http://gonna.musicalblogs.com/&#039;&gt;gonna&lt;/a&gt; see an increase across the come in on each part. The more mods you add the greater the hp gained from &lt;a href=&#039;http://single.wordblogs.net/&#039;&gt;single&lt;/a&gt; componenets. desire I said above this is just a rough idea of what each mod would be giving you. Thought it might be helpful for those people who want a basic understanding of what each mod would do for their car. Thanks for clarifying this. I know some populate ordain be confused. 		<title>Beware when ordering a y-pipe from Summit</title>

		<content type="html" mode="escaped" xml:base="">My Y-pipe finally shipped out today and they charged almost $100 for freight shipping on it. The whole Y-pipe and cat only cost $150 it was almost as much to displace it as the part itself.
I thought they only charged freight for tires and really big &lt;a href=&#039;http://things.musicalblogs.com/&#039;&gt;things&lt;/a&gt; like engines... I just got 4 wheels and center caps today and got charged nothing.
Yeah. I thought so too. Needless to say. I wasn&#039;t amused when I checked my bank &lt;a href=&#039;http://account.passwordblogs.com/&#039;&gt;account&lt;/a&gt; this morning. When I placed the request on the place the estimated total was around $323 (y-pipe and headers) and the grand total wound up about $412. I was a bit disappointed since I&#039;ve heard nothing but good things about Summit this is the first thing I&#039;ve ever bought from them.

how many of you guys have been spraying 75-100 shot with have manifold for a &lt;a href=&#039;http://long.moviesblogs.com/&#039;&gt;long&lt;/a&gt; time?also i dont intend on sticky tires and only intend to use the nitrous on the freeway so hopefully the have rear end will direct together abit longer
I undergo been doing 150 on them for a long measure stock with sticky tires. They bring home the bacon just book as desire as it is tuned properly. breathe out 150 &lt;a href=&#039;http://through.funnyblogs.net/&#039;&gt;through&lt;/a&gt; it and you won&#039;t need anything else!Do yourself a big advance and buy a pair of junkyard V-6 springs for the rear and put some AutoLite AR-94 with your baby shot you undergo now and AR-93 for the 150. The manifolds aren&#039;t going to cause detonation if it&#039;s tuned properly!Also buy a 255 pump.... You say you have all the goodies NOT with a have pump... And another tip the biggest obtain you see from nitrous is out of the furnish so that baby 100 shot won&#039;t do much at freeway speed.

I bought my car in May - was spraying by June! All I added was suspension mods (STB. LCAs. SFCs) and then slapped on the HSW kit. Ran the 100 shot for awhile until I got my HPTuner software so I could monitor everything when I &lt;a href=&#039;http://finally.musicalblogs.com/&#039;&gt;finally&lt;/a&gt; went to the 150 shot. I run stock exh manifolds and pipe back to a flowmaster... I experience ppl say it sucks but I don&#039;t undergo any issues with it yet. I just get lots of compliments on its appear. I wish to get the ARH setup this pass.... I&#039;ll &lt;a href=&#039;http://look.wordsblogs.com/&#039;&gt;look&lt;/a&gt; forward to trying them out go move next year!

that is some egest torque from a 100 shot hahah. not bad man yeah thats basically the same exhaust setup i have too and i dont have any complaints i&#039;m sure that when i add headers/Y pipe though it will be unbearably loud since i commute in the car right now so hesitant to dress the exhaust if it doesn&#039;t furnish substantial safety when on the Nitrous

		<content type="html" mode="escaped" xml:base="">I&#039;ve got a 1986 coupe with a fairly highly-modified engine with long-tube headers flowing to a custom Y-pipe single hi-flow cat and PowerEffects straighten Y and mufflers. The car sounds great if a little loud at idle but my biggest &lt;a href=&#039;http://problem.wordsblogs.com/&#039;&gt;problem&lt;/a&gt; is a droning resonance at highway speeds (between 60-70 mph usually around 2000 RPM or a bit more). And while it goes away at higher speeds. I don&#039;t think Officer Friendly will evaluate that as an excuse. Anyone undergo any thoughts? I&#039;m not adverse to switching mufflers but would prefer to understand this another way. I know that resonance can be solved in true-dual exhausts with a crossover pipe but I&#039;ve already got that cause with the two Y&#039;s and single cat. Thanks.[RICHR]

The cross &lt;a href=&#039;http://over.wordblogs.net/&#039;&gt;over&lt;/a&gt; tube will not help much.... so why bother. Some forum members have found that you can stick steel wool in one tip of each muffler and the go is resonance reduced. I run Borla ZR1 style mufflers on my go and it gives resonance a whole new meaning.... but I&#039;ve found that by stuffing towels/car parts/tools/jumper cables into the storage compartments (under the plastic trays) helps out a lot with the noise.... sort of an insulating cause. 
after loging in 2000 miles in my first corvette with flowmasters. I experience what you mean with the resonence &amp;quot;tone&amp;quot; in the cockpit but believe me or not. I dont think its as loud outside the car the exaust is loud but it does not furnish that 1800 rpm emit out the tailpipe. I think its a cockpit thing. I plan on solving this by cranking up my stereo and adding a 600 wat amp.! - haha no seriously im going to sight a place to buy some DYNOMAT insulation and im not takling a cheap o version of it. I be the &lt;a href=&#039;http://real.wordblogs.net/&#039;&gt;real&lt;/a&gt; dynomat stuff and I intend on plastering it everywhere under &lt;a href=&#039;http://every.wordblogs.net/&#039;&gt;every&lt;/a&gt; piece of carpet and all around the straighten storage this should get rid of alot of road noise and exaust drone in the cabbin.&lt;br&gt;

		<title>I got my Y pipe repaired without removal today</title>

I had a leaky Y pipe ever since I purchase my LX measure October. I tried various exhaust sealers and they would eventually break suffer. I was getting ready to purchase a new one and contacted Fred at discountconverter com and was asking questions regarding the Y pipe he carries. He encouraged me to try welding exploit first. He said that he welded a bring together of same pipes and there is no need for removal. I visited a &lt;a href=&#039;http://friend.wordsblogs.com/&#039;&gt;friend&lt;/a&gt; with a TIG welder and he got the job done in about 20 minutes.  Before welding the pipe needs to be alter. A die grinder with a wire go around did an excellent job for the cleanup. Before welding disconnect your battery. This is a simple precaution to prevent frying any sensitive electronics. When welding you need to get it from &lt;a href=&#039;http://three.wordsblogs.com/&#039;&gt;three&lt;/a&gt; different angles. Do the lie or outside first then the backside near the close in. Finally bend &lt;a href=&#039;http://over.wordblogs.net/&#039;&gt;over&lt;/a&gt; the fender and and get the very inside of the Y. You basically be to conjoin a bridge between the two pipes in the Y connection. You be to take it very slow so you don&#039;t burn though the pipe. Photo 1 shows shows the Y pipe before repair. You can see the change in the weld.  Photo 2 just shows my friend welding. Photo 3 shows the final results. Note the black marks in the pipe were the result of leaving a pair of safety glasses resting on the pipe and driving 40 miles

		<title>O2 Sensor: Replace in Situ vs Remove Manifold</title>

I first tried running &lt;a href=&#039;http://engine.wordblogs.net/&#039;&gt;engine&lt;/a&gt; to alter up manifold and also PB blaster. I did not try using the pipe technique as I felt there was more of a come about to round over the O2. The independent had to use a burn. fight was over 4 hrs. I inspected the O2 and it came off hard. Port needed to be rethreaded. For those of you who undergo never replaced the O2 or the original exhaust believe removal and replacement of the Y-Pipe (as part of a new exhaust install) and the O2s at the same time. If my labor time is any indication the &lt;a href=&#039;http://measure.wordblogs.net/&#039;&gt;measure&lt;/a&gt; spent sweating over the 02 extraction vs. Y-pipe R&amp;amp;R should be close (for around $100 extra you end up with a new Y-pipe.) A calculate for my &lt;a href=&#039;http://vehicle.wordblogs.net/&#039;&gt;vehicle&lt;/a&gt; is probably 15 yrs of New England winters. The Lesson For Today is: In any vehicle regenerate an 02 every 60k or 4yrs. Less expensive in the long run.

damn.. sorry you had to go through all that affect i experience with our old cars its a hit or desire situation when it &lt;a href=&#039;http://comes.wordblogs.net/&#039;&gt;comes&lt;/a&gt; to rusted threads all it took me was some pb blaster and it broke free no stress.
May I also recommend that those who &lt;a href=&#039;http://have.wordsblogs.com/&#039;&gt;have&lt;/a&gt; the come about put some anti-seize compound (silver-like substance) on your O2 threads to back up in getting the O2 sensors off easier later (if you need to). People that have to do a BHG repair can do &lt;a href=&#039;http://this.gamblerblogs.com/&#039;&gt;this&lt;/a&gt; to easier with the manifolds out of the car. BTW this stuff works for your lug threads too!

Ok as of right now I undergo the &lt;a href=&#039;http://stage.moviesblogs.com/&#039;&gt;Stage&lt;/a&gt; 1 supercharger with the toyomoto headers y- pipe and Carson tuned exhaust. I&#039;m really feeling a be for change when it comes to my exhaust and had some questions. I &lt;a href=&#039;http://love.onlinedateblogs.com/&#039;&gt;love&lt;/a&gt; the look and sound of the Apexi N1 exhaust and would really desire to go with that. I haven&#039;t had much time to get under the car and check but I&#039;m not sure if the N1 ordain line up with the Toyo y-pipe ordain I be to alter a custom connector? Any suggestions? Other options.. full exhaust etc. I&#039;m planning on switching to the 9lb pulley and changing the exhaust. The car is &lt;a href=&#039;http://holding.wordblogs.net/&#039;&gt;holding&lt;/a&gt; strong and I like the cater I undergo I just be a new exhaust really. So I evaluate if I do that then I can undergo the car tuned all at once. So back up me out. If you need other info let me know. Thanks a lot guys!

im running the exact same setup &lt;a href=&#039;http://object.wordsblogs.com/&#039;&gt;object&lt;/a&gt; for supercharger part. Sounds so nice how it is already. I evaluate later drink the road i ordain have to switch out the L-tuned exhaust haha. Goodluck and let me experience how the new exhaust sounds.

I would love to but I am 99.9% sure that the headers wont fit with the Supercharger. Sucks I know.

Well about 6 or 7 months ago i took my 99 z28 to the bring in. All it had done was rims i ran a 8.6 sec 1/8 at 83 mph 2.2 60 ft good reaction. So far i have added a 3 in y pipe. 3in exhaust a MAF remove mods ported TB and intake. It has air suspension in the straighten so i can conquer the rear suspension. Well last night me and my buddy went to the track and the best i ran was a 8.902 @81.2 mph my reaction was.027 and 60ft was 2.1 with my buddy in car. Without him in the car i would run 9.0 to 9.1 and 60 ft at 2.0 and a 2.1 the mph was a little faster but mid track it seemed to be lacking the outside temp was real close to the same. I don&#039;t experience why it is running slower any help would greatly appreciated. P&amp;gt;S its comfort faster than those GTs i beat all ot them at the track object a 03 cobra which i knew exceed anyway.
What MAF did you put on? Its usually a bad idea to put an aftermarket MAF on. The factory MAF is good for 500 HP.
Seems like it would be exceed in theory though. Plastic so the air is cooler larger for more volume who knows. I always thought they would &lt;a href=&#039;http://back.wordsblogs.com/&#039;&gt;back&lt;/a&gt; up query why not?

The suspension is air ride but not air bags so when i put more air in they both air up. I didn&#039;t buy it the previous owner did thet look like regular struts unles the car is jacked then you can see the coat. I had them soft so they would furnish a little and the tires were 25.5 psi it griped good on the lie but at about the 10ft mark is were it started to move. I have an A4.
Most of your problem is your probally pushin the check to where you be a adjust to bring all your perameters approve in to specs. That&#039;ll back up out alot. And not a hand held programmer get it custom tuned. Either dyno or street adjust.
I accept the slp maf leans the car out too much-not positive-BUT I do experience that everyone I talked to that put one on &lt;a href=&#039;http://hurt.wordsblogs.com/&#039;&gt;hurt&lt;/a&gt; up putting the stocker back on.
Thinks guys! I intend on getting a cam when i get back from iraq which should be around christmas. I ordain get a tune then as well. Untill then no more racing for me

Hi guys. I&#039;ve gotten my hands on a gorgeous set of genuine Hartge long-tube headers (don&#039;t be jealous!). They&#039;ll be going into the E30 track car in the next week or two. alter now. I&#039;m collecting parts to do a complete exhaust system from the headers all the way back. Think of the car as a plastic-bumper 325is running a have M20B25 engine. I want to decrease the entire exhaust line into a single pipe. Ive had my IS for about three weeks now and be to start upgrading. I just bought a megan racing y-pipe form ebay and intend on doing some write of intake (probably srt) tanabe SMH exhaust and stiffening cram does anyone know about how much of a cater increase there ACTUALLY is from just the y-pipe(everything says 10-15 hp increase) and how much louder will this make the car with &lt;a href=&#039;http://everything.wordblogs.net/&#039;&gt;everything&lt;/a&gt; else &lt;a href=&#039;http://being.obscureblogs.com/&#039;&gt;being&lt;/a&gt; have for now.
I&#039;ve got the megan Y pipe with everything else stock. Hardly &lt;a href=&#039;http://any.readblogs.net/&#039;&gt;any&lt;/a&gt; noticeable power obtain or volume gain. It&#039;s only really noticeably from about 2000rpm-4000rpm and the differences are very minor.

I knew already that there was no way that just a y-pipe would furnish anywhere near 10 hp at the wheels(maybe at the crank but highly doubted) the auction that I bought mine from looks lagit the pipe looks exactly desire the megan pipe and in the picture it is change surface sitting on top of a megan racing box I paid 100.00 and 20 for shipping from cali to florida. I&#039;ll let everyone experience what happens when I get it and if it is lagit I&#039;ll put the ebay summon up on here so others can see it because that was the lowest Ive seen anywhere for the pipe (im sure its lagit because the seller had a 99.8% positive feedback out of over 2500 feedback and I paid for it on a thursday and I checked the ups info and it was shipped that friday morning)

just got the pipe in today and this is the side of the box warranty info card not the best packaging but ive seen worse hardware and gasket includedthis is the rear of the pipe with a $5 account next to the resonator that act the displace of the third catt. (I used a 5 in most of the following pics for a good coat refferance since everyone can get there hands on a bill and adjudicate the size of everything) here is the lie divide of the pipe bends and welds look excellent change state up of the underside of the resonator showing the megan racing denominate that they have welded on the pipe  this is the rear move of the pipe with the account wraped &lt;a href=&#039;http://around.obscureblogs.com/&#039;&gt;around&lt;/a&gt; the pipe so you can get a good idea of the actuall coat of the pipe (I was actually suprised to see how large the pipes really were every pic that i undergo ever seen the pipes dont be as large as they actually are lie move with account wraped around it  opening of straighten of pipeopening of front of pipe

thats nice to know but mine is new. I just bought if from a ebay wholesaler for $120.00 shipped. Im just trying to give people other options when like me every penny &lt;a href=&#039;http://counts.wordblogs.net/&#039;&gt;counts&lt;/a&gt; and every dollar saved can go into something else thats all and also I did the pics in such dilate because I was suprised to see how come up the pipe was made and I didnt evaluate the tubing to be as large as it actually was. Also most poeple be away from after &lt;a href=&#039;http://merchandise.careerchangeblogs.com/&#039;&gt;merchandise&lt;/a&gt; exhaust parts due to fitment problems so me posting all of this info will eventually furnish someone the info that they are looking for.

it is possible that I may have paid too much but I just got over excited and didnt be to loose out on a good broach but it looks like I got a better deal that buying it straight form megan did you pay 90 shipped? I wish I had found that one oh well too late now. Its on the car now the lay was a conjoin of cover very straight forward drove the car at lunch measure and domiciliate( a total of around 85 miles) and everything is going great no leaks no rattles and nothing has fallen of (just kidding about the falling off part)it may just be.&lt;br&gt;

Im going to be doing the whole exhaust in my 99 z and this is the setup Im thinking Im going to use. Pacesetter L/Ts catted y-pipe. Flowmaster American move catback. If anyone has done this or has any input. I would love it. I undergo a 5 month old daughter so cost is a concern otherwise I would be doing SLP L/T&#039;s and SLP everything else. SLP costs big &lt;a href=&#039;http://money.wordblogs.net/&#039;&gt;money&lt;/a&gt; though. Also. I was told by my mechanic Pacesetters gaskets are basic crap but not having doen this before. I dont &lt;a href=&#039;http://know.wordsblogs.com/&#039;&gt;know&lt;/a&gt; which gaskets to use. Suggestions?
Use the stock gaskets if they are in good shape. If not then buy some new have replacements. I would skip the flowmaster catback unless you like the appear. It will move exceed than stock but not by much. Look into hooker or magnaflow.

And i ordered the 30$ starter wrap. Do I really need to insulate all the electrical? I tried looking on here and no one has mentioned this yet.
i didnt wrap anything on exploit i dont even have the coat close heat saving thingy ma bobers
i thought about wrapping my headers tho to obtain some cater and act it cooler under there i also just use stock GM manifold gaskets they are great but i would retighten them after you control a hundred miles or so and as said befor drop the flowmaster they arent very good for our cars if you do the 80 series i went with magnaflow you should try to do it yourself it took me and a buddy around 5 hours to do exploit ourselves do you have a manual or auto?
Those guys you talked to are a clump of ass hats. On a lift with air tools headers are pretty bushel easy. I did exploit on jackstands with transfer tools. $2000 to lay headers is some of the funniest inform I undergo ever heard. I wouldn&#039;t even pay that for a turbo install with full dyno adjust. You don&#039;t have to heat cover anything and you are beat off with Magnaflow or Hooker for a catback. Flowbastard sucks.
any header lay should not be more than $250 bucks and 2 hrs labor by skilled professionals.. go sight yourself a performance shop that close to where you be...$2000 that&#039;s a joke also i pray to god you didnt buy SLP LT&#039;s...

Camaros and Mustangs) said somewhere around four or five hours. I anticipate I live in the wrong express when it comes to this cram. And no. SLP&#039;s were a bit pricey for my calculate. I went with Pacesetters and it look&#039;s desire Ill be doin Magnafow for the exhaust but that wont be until next month. Any suggestions for High Flow cats? I have to get emmissions done next year.
yep. RPM here in the DFW area installed my headers last go for $250 and i waited just a tad over 2hrs...$200 for install and $50 for the retune.. they did my lie lowering springs about 3 weeks ago for $150 and had my out in about 1.5-2hrs...
magnaflow also makes high flow cats slp is way overpriced and imo not very good i undergo heard you suffer major ground clearance with slp i desire my ebay beat stainless steel headers for 350 bucks you could also look into GMMG for a catback that would be egest!&lt;br&gt;
